My love for sales began at age 11 when I sold Girl Scout cookies.
I learned how to prospect, present, and close the deal – skills I would sharpen as a future salesperson. Throughout my career, I’ve sold personnel services, television and magazine ads, office space, organization memberships, entertainment packages, and kitchen products.
I’ve learned that selling is not about being overly aggressive, it’s about having confidence in my ability to sell. Using my own unique selling style has contributed to my success. I teach women to be authentic – to use their talent, style, presence, and knowledge to show confidence during the selling process.
My book Selling Your Confidence – Forging a Successful Sales Career from Mint Cookies to Martinis takes the reader on a journey of my selling career. Staying on course, building a reputation, becoming the expert – working confidently toward the goal of knowing success is in sight – the martini, waiting on the horizon.

Jean speaks to business organizations and women’s groups about confidence-building and has her own consulting practice to help entrepreneurs and sales teams.
